Ingredients
Approx. 1 lb (500 grams) of pork belly. This is a great use for squared off ends of pork belly, when making bacon
Pork dry rub
Optional: Sticky Sauce
2 tbspBesti Brown Sugar
2 tbsp Soy Sauce or Coconut Aminos (gluten free option)
1 tsp minced garlic
2 tbsp Keto Maple Syrup
1 sliced red or green chilli pepper
toasted sesame seeds to garnish ( optional)
Instructions
Pre-heat oven to 350 F
Cut pork belly into bite sized chunks
Place into baking tray and cover in chosen rub
After 20 minutes raise oven to 450F. Cook for additional 20 min until pork belly is crispy
drain off pork fat. Keep for other recipes
Optional Sticky Sauce
Add ingredients except sesame seeds to a saucepan
Slowly bring to a boil until sugar is dissolved
add to pork belly and mix thoroughly
garnish with sesame seeds
